Founded by Dame Heather Rabbatts DBE in 2019, WSG was formed to create new opportunities to promote, enhance and empower women’s sport. Focusing on three core areas – strategic communications counsel, media rights management and partnership development – it has an extensive track record working across the sport industry.
The appointment follows WSG’s role as exclusive advisors to The Football Association (The FA) on its successful first unbundled media rights tender process for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, which saw a landmark rights deal with Sky and the BBC. Driving forward the progression of women’s sports across the world, the WSG team has also worked with Drops Cycling, World Rugby and the Australia-New Zealand bid for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
