Real Madrid launch own Amazon Alexa ‘skill’

Real Madrid launch own Amazon Alexa ‘skill’
Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid have announced that a new club-dedicated ‘skill’ has been launched on Amazon’s artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistant Alexa.

The skill will provide the latest news, summaries and audio content in English and Spanish, whilst also directing users to the LaLiga club’s website for additional content.

The service also offers users the option to tune in to Real Madrid TV, the team’s video content network, as well as voice control. However, as of yet, the videos are available in Spanish-language only.

The new skill is available on the Amazon store, where it is offered free of charge.

Real Madrid join a growing list of sports rights holders on Alexa. English soccer giants Liverpool have their own Alexa skill, offering club news updates, whilst Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Football League (NFL) have more advanced offerings on the platform.
