In a coordinated campaign to fight COVID-19, Benfica and its players raised over €1 million since the start of the pandemic as a result of a variety of institutional activities. The funds have now been utilized to purchase key equipment and material that will soon arrive in Portugal.

The material which was acquired includes six ventilators, over 1 million surgical masks, over 200,000 protective masks, 1.8 million disposable gloves, over 2500 goggles and protective suits and 800 infrared thermometers.

Benfica remains committed to helping the SNS in its battle against the pandemic which has already killed 100,000 people worldwide.
