Newcastle United jet off with Loganair partnership
Fittingly, the Premier League outfit announced the deal at Newcastle International Airport, in a move that sees Loganair securing branding on LED advertising boards at the Magpies’ St James’ Park home during top-flight games, starting with the visit of Chelsea on 18th January.
To mark the partnership, of which no length of financial details have been revealed, Loganair announced that customers booking flights from Newcastle between 10th January and 29th February will be entered into a competition to win one of four signed Newcastle United home shirts.
Additionally, the Scotland-based firm announced that it would be introducing larger aircraft on its Newcastle to Aberdeen route, increasing seat capacity by 21 per cent.
Kay Ryan, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said: “We look forward to discussing how we can further collaborate with Newcastle United later in the year.”
Dale Aitchison, Head of Commercial at Newcastle United, added: “Loganair is not only showing a huge commitment to Newcastle United but the North East region as a whole and we look forward to working closely with the team to raise awareness of the routes from Newcastle Airport.”
On the pitch, Newcastle are 13th in the Premier League, but are without a win in five matches in all competitions. They next host third-tier Rochdale in an FA Cup replay on 14th January.
