Marseille reveal Iqoniq sleeve sponsor deal
French top-tier soccer club Olympique de Marseille have revealed fan engagement platform Iqoniq as their new sleeve sponsor.

The brand will join the Ligue 1 club’s premium partner tier, which provides it with digital and physical branding. No financial terms or length of the contract have been revealed.

Whilst activation details around the partnership are also yet to be released, the Iqoniq platform is designed to create touchpoints, including retail, for fans to earn points based on their time engaging with the application, which can then be used to participate in match-related games. It also has a news feature and merchandise portal.

The new commercial revenue comes at a welcome time for Marseille, who incurred a loss of €91.5 million (US$101 million) for the 2018/19 season. This came after a €78.5 million (US$86.7 million) loss in the 2017/18 campaign.

Marseille currently sit second in Ligue 1, 12 points behind table-topping Paris Saint-Germain.
