2022 Europa League final set for Budapest
Budapest’s recently opened Puskás Aréna will host the 2022 UEFA Europa League final, the European governing body has confirmed.

The climax of Europe’s second-tier club soccer competition will mark the first major European men’s final to be staged in the Hungarian capital.

The Puskás Aréna opened in November last year and is slated to host four games during this summer’s UEFA European Championship national team tournament.

UEFA has also announced that Juventus’ Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy will stage the 2022 Women’s Champions League final, while Eindhoven’s PSV Stadium will host the showpiece fixture the following year.

In addition, Finland’s Helsinki Olympic Stadium will stage the 2022 UEFA Super Cup, which pits the previous year’s Champions League winners against the champions of the Europa League.

The Kazan Arena in Russia will then host the Super Cup in 2023, despite the World Anti-Doping Agency’s recommendation that the nation should not be allowed to stage major sporting competitions for four years due to the country’s non-compliance over doping issues.
