US & Dutch FA’s to join Athletic Bilbao and Schalke as part of performance programme at Soccerex USA
The modern soccer is more physically demanding than ever before, meaning the analysis and monitoring of athletes and their physical and mental wellbeing is of the utmost importance. This analysis can be used to shape the correct training, nutrition and recovery programmes for individuals, to optimise an athlete’s performance. The methodology, technology and science behind optimising performance will be a running theme throughout the conference agenda, with sessions focusing on youth / academy level performance and physical conditioning and recovery and presentations from the Dutch Football Association, Athletic Bilbao, Empericus and BeStrong.

Delegates at Soccerex USA will also be treated to an exclusive session from Athletic Bilbao’s Director General, Jon Berasategi, on how the club manages to remain a regular fixture in Laliga despite a policy of identifying and developing talent exclusively from the Basque region With the club having such a small pool of players to choose from, player identification and development is key to their success and their academy has long been lourded as one of the best in Europe.
