Soccerex & GoalPoint partner to deliver exclusive FIFA Women’s World Cup content
Powered by Opta data and using GoalPoint’s bespoke Match Ratings system, the co-branded infographics are being created for each match to showcase player actions and performance at this summer’s ground-breaking tournament. Exclusive graphics are also being created for Soccerex which summarise and rank the top performers of each round of matches in different categories such as successful passes, dribbles made, saves and goals. The graphics are being shared across Soccerex and GoalPoint’s social media channels and are available for media looking to add a data solution to their FIFA Women’s World Cup coverage.
As part of the partnership, GoalPoint will analyse the data after the tournament, comparing performance with the past FIFA Women’s World Cup and present the findings as part of the women’s football content at Soccerex Europe, taking place in Oeiras, Portugal on 5-6 September. The two day football business event is hosted in partnership with the municipality of Oeiras and Liga Portugal and with the support of global partners LaLiga and Totum Sport.
Commenting on the partnership, Soccerex Marketing Director, David Wright said:
“GoalPoint are experts in the analysis and creative delivery of performance insights and this partnership allows us to deliver unique and engaging content to our audience, on what has proven already to be a very exciting FIFA Women’s World Cup. The women’s game is rightly experiencing a surge in both popularity and commercial interest and we are delighted to be working with GoalPoint to support this growth”.
GoalPoint Founder Pedro Ferreira added:
“We’re delighted to partner with Soccerex in making this important contribution towards Women’s Football empowerment. What better way to do so than to unleash our facts engine, analyse and present on Women’s World Cup performance. We are looking forward to share our findings online and at Soccerex Europe.”
GoalPoint’s presentation will be part of an elite level session looking at the rise of the women’s game featuring former players, administrators and commercial experts in the main studio at Soccerex Europe. The event’s programme will focus on the future of the game across Europe and also include discussions on the modern club business model, technology and innovation in football, tournament expansion and stadia design.
