MLS taps SendtoNews for digital content distribution

The deal gives STN exclusive distribution of the US soccer league’s video content to local digital publishers across North America.
Under the terms of the agreement, STN will distribute highlights, interviews and other content to more than 1,600 local publishing partners.
“MLS is constantly seeking new distribution opportunities to bring our content to more fans in more places,” said MLS senior vice president of media, Seth Bacon. “STN’s relationships with local media partners will undoubtedly offer more destinations for fans to experience MLS.”
The partnership adds further content to STN’s sports video distribution portfolio in the US. The company already has relationships in place with Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA).
“STN is excited to add MLS to our roster of professional sports league partners,” added Matthew Watson, chief executive of STN. “With our video distribution platform, we are able to help expand MLS’s digital offerings and provide more places for fans to engage with their content.”
