Liverpool and Turner extend B/R Live content deal
English top-flight soccer giants Liverpool have expanded their partnership with Turner Sports, which will see the US broadcaster distribute exclusive content from the club’s in-house channel LFCTV via its B/R Live streaming platform.

Under the terms of the agreement, subscribers to Turner’s over-the-top (OTT) service will gain access to 40 live Liverpool matches per season, including pre-season, women's, academy and legends games, as well as replays from all men’s first-team matches.

Turner, which also has rights in the US to the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, European soccer’s premier club competitions, will also distribute behind-the-scenes content featuring the European champions, including access to players and manager Jürgen Klopp.

The arrangement follows a successful partnership between the Premier League outfit and Turner over the summer, which included exclusive rights to Liverpool’s pre-season matches on their US tour.

Billy Hogan, Liverpool’s Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We’re incredibly excited to expand our partnership with Turner Sports to launch LFCTV on B/R Live.

“The relationship with Turner began this summer when they did a terrific job broadcasting our pre-season tour matches and we’re delighted to be extending it as we look to offer more LFC content to all our fans in the US over the coming seasons.”

In January, Liverpool announced a partnership with US publication Sports Illustrated, which acquired rights to show delayed Liverpool matches via its own OTT service SI TV until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Liverpool are five points clear at the top of the Premier League having won all of their games this season. They defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on 22nd September.
