Legends of the game flock to Oeiras for Soccerex Europe
Hosted in partnership with the Municipality of Oeiras and the Portuguese Football Federation and with the support of LaLiga, Liga Portugal and hydration experts Totum Sport, the two day business event will focus on the future of football across Europe. Along with senior administrators from FIFA, UEFA, ECA, European Leagues and FIFPro, and clubs such as Ajax, Benfica, Juventus, Manchester United and Valencia, the programme will feature former players from Portugal, Spain, France and the USA who between them boast over 580 caps, Five UEFA Champions Leagues and two FIFA World Cups.

He will be joined in the panel by Portuguese legend Deco who was integral to the UEFA Champion’s League winning sides at FC Porto and FC Barcelona and went onto further domestic success with Chelsea.
From the Women’s game, Laura Georges, one of France’s most capped players and now General Secretary, French Football Federation will be looking back at this summer’s hugely successful FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and what it means for the global growth of women’s football. Adding her insight to this discussion will be Rebecca Smith, former New Zealand international and FIFA Women’s World Player of the year nominee who is now Global Executive Director of the Women’s Game for leading youth media brand, COPA90.
Soccerex Europe will close with a star studded panel looking at the career transitions of professional footballers.
