DAZN’s Serie A games to air on new Sky Italia channel
The deal, which will see the channel launch on 20th September, includes provision for a series of dedicated subscriber offers for streaming content. Full DAZN programming, on the other hand, will continue to be available only via its streaming platform.
It means Sky satellite subscribers with HD decoders can activate the DAZN offer, with the channel available at Sky number 209.
Subscribers to the DAZN channel will gain access to its package of Serie A rights, which comprises three weekly matches from Italian soccer’s top-flight. The channel will also show two Serie B matches from each round, a selection of live international soccer games and other sports.
"DAZN continues to invest in order to grow the platform and expand the offer of streaming content," said Veronica Diquattro, DAZN’s Executive Vice President for Southern Europe.
"At the same time, this agreement with Sky will allow an increasing number of fans, including those who live in Italian areas not yet perfectly served by an adequate technological infrastructure, to have access, through the channel, to a selection of the main events."
