Arsenal announce Konami renewal

The company has been the north London club’s official video game partner since 2017 and will now remain in that role until at least June 2022.
Konami will thus recreate Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in its eFootball PES 2020 game, which will also feature 3D likenesses of club players.
In return, the company will have access to the Gunners’ first-team players and legends, as well as gaining an increased presence at match days and across the club’s media channels.
Peter Silverstone, Arsenal’s commercial director, said the club’s partnership with Konami “continues to go from strength to strength”, adding: “We are excited to work with Konami to further engage our huge global fanbase and give them the opportunity to experience the players, legends and Emirates Stadium so accurately within eFootball PES 2020.”
News of the extended deal coincides with the start of the PES League 2019 World Finals, which are being hosted at the Emirates.
