Wolves sign ‘biggest sponsorship deal in club’s history’
The partnership sees the company secure primary sponsorship of the newly-promoted club’s playing kit and adult replica shirts until the end of the 2019/2020 season. The W88 logo will appear on the front of Wolves’ shirts and training wear.
Although no figures have been released, the deal with the global online gaming leader is described by the club as ‘the largest of its kind in the club’s history’. The move comes after Wolves, who will play in the English top flight for the first time in six years, ended their partnership with The Money Shop.
As principal partners, W88 will also work with Wolves on a host of mutually beneficial activations throughout the partnership. The branding will not feature on products for supporters under the age of 18.
Wolves managing director Laurie Dalrymple said: “The commitment W88 have shown Wolves even extends to them allowing their logo to be changed to black and grey to complement our old gold, rather than their brand’s usual blue colour, something which we are very grateful for.
“This partnership is certainly the largest in the club’s history, and we are looking forward to working with W88 over the next two seasons.”
Hilly Ehrlich, Business Development Manager of W88, added: “This partnership is a major step for us in expanding our global footprint and we look forward to working with the club to engage the fans and supporters of Wolves, both in the UK and worldwide."
Wolves, who are owned by Chinese group Fosun International, will begin their Premier League season with a home game against Everton.
