Serie A app gives soccer fans stadium streaming access
Serie A’s marketing and media rights consultant Infront Sports has launched an augmented app that allows spectators to stream matches they attend across Italian soccer’s premier club competition.
Fan Plus is a new web app designed to “amplify the emotions of the match” and enables fans to view their match from any angle within the stadium via a mobile device.
Available via Android and Apple stores, the platform features augmented reality and a chatbot to interact to assist fans during match day. It also enables users to access game news and statistics as well as their favourite players’ digital autographs.
Sampdoria’s fanbase were the first to test the new platform last Saturday during the club’s 4-1 victory over Bologna at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium, where Genoa supporters will also have access to the app for the first time when their team take on Spal this Sunday.
'Fan Plus integrates the functionality offered by the most innovative start-ups in a single ecosystem, selected with careful scouting work in Italy and abroad,' Infront said of its new platform.
