Manchester City women in WSL first with sleeve sponsorship deal
Top-tier women’s soccer team Manchester City have announced a sleeve sponsorship deal with Qnet.

The Hong Kong-based direct selling company will have its branding feature on the club’s kit, marking the first time a Women’s Super League (WSL) club have sold sleeve inventory.

Qnet will also become the official direct selling partner of Manchester City’s women’s side.

In addition, Qnet will feature in bespoke Manchester City women’s player content, which will be developed throughout the 2018/19 season, alongside a series of co-branded fan content. The company will also enjoy matchday LED presence, exclusive fan competitions and bespoke digital activations with players.

The news makes Manchester City the first soccer club to have a sleeve sponsor in both the Premier League and the WSL.

In July 2017, Qnet extended its partnership with Manchester City men’s team for a further three years. The company is the official direct selling partner of the Premier League club.

 Trevor Kuna, chief executive at Qnet, added: “Qnet has been empowering entrepreneurs for 20 years now, and we have a strong female salesforce. We are truly proud to be teaming up with Manchester City in the female sports sponsorship arena as the first-ever sleeve sponsor of a FA Women’s Super League 1 team. This is a major step for us, and it sends a strong signal that Qnet is committed to empowering women across the globe.

“Manchester City’s values resonate with our own, and we were particularly inspired by their ‘Same City, Same Passion’ campaign launched earlier this year. We too believe the skills, determination and passion are the same for both men and women regardless of whether it’s in football or direct sales.”

Manchester City women are neck and neck with Chelsea at the top of the WSL, and only lead their title rivals by virtue of goal difference. They thumped Bristol City women 6-1 away on Thursday, and will travel to face Arsenal Ladies in their next game on 12th May.
