DAZN renews La Liga rights deal
DAZN, the OTT service operated by digital sports media company Perform, has extended its rights deal to show Spanish club soccer’s top tier, La Liga, in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

The network will continue to show exclusive coverage of every La Liga game for a further three years until the end of the 2020/21 season.

DAZN’s managing director of rights and distribution, Kay Dammholz, said that Perform “plans to significantly increase the importance of this great league in German-speaking countries across all platforms.”

The OTT service will also show the Uefa Champions League, Europe’s premier club soccer competition, and the Uefa Europa League, Europe’s second-tier continental club soccer competition, from the start of next season in Germany, Austria and Japan.
