Chinese Super League gets Eastroc boost
Under the terms of the deal, the energy drink brand will serve as an official supplier of Chinese club soccer’s top flight for the 2018/19 season.
To activate the new agreement, Eastroc has launched a project that sees it make donations to a youth soccer development foundation for each goal scored by an under-23 player in the CSL.
The financial terms of the partnership have not yet been disclosed.
The Chinese company sponsored the China matches of the 2017 International Champions Cup (ICC) pre-season soccer tournament.
Lin Mugang, vice president of Eastroc Super Drink Group, said: “The CSL is the top football league in China, making it an important resource for enterprises interested in sports marketing. By becoming the league’s official supplier, the brand wants to support the national football league and the development of Chinese football.”
The new CSL season begins this weekend.
