Marseille extend with shirt sponsor
The electrical goods manufacturer and retail chain has been an official supplier of the Ligue 1 side since the 2015/16 season, and will continue to have its logo imprinted on the back of the team’s playing shirts. Additionally, Boulanger will sponsor the monthly OM Youth Trophy award.
The length and financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
Jacques-Henri Eyraud, chairman of Olympique de Marseille, said: “The brand has developed very well in the region and the club is pleased to be accompanied by an industry leader. This step is part of the OM project to surround itself with serious and ambitious partners.”
Marseille finished fifth in Ligue 1 in 2016/17, which means that the club has qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2017/18 Uefa Europa League, European soccer’s second-tier cup competition.
