Manchester City strike Dongqiudi partnership
English soccer side Manchester City have announced a collaboration with soccer-based social networking and media app Dongqiudi, naming it as a Chinese strategic partner.

Manchester City have created an account on the platform and will create content targeted at the Chinese market, giving fans in the country access to news, match reports and videos. Dongqiudi will also help the Premier League club to create an e-commerce service to sell official merchandise in China.

Dongqiudi was established in 2013 as a way for Chinese soccer fans to form communities and follow their favourite teams from around the world.

Manchester City are currently engaged in a battle with their local rivals Manchester United to qualify for next season's Uefa Champions League. Both teams drew this weekend, with City dropping points against relegation favourites Middlesbrough.
