Burnley net TeleTrade deal
English top-tier soccer side Burnley FC have announced a new partnership with the TeleTrade Group until the end of 2018.

Under the terms of the deal, which was concluded via TeleTrade’s subsidiary TeleTrade-DJ International Consulting Ltd, which operates the websites targeting UK and EU customers, the online broker will be the official forex trading sponsor of the Premier League outfit.

TeleTrade, which has headquarters in Cyprus, is one of eight retail FX brokers to have been granted a Forex dealer licence by the Bank of Russia.

“It is truly a cause for celebration to have the chance to work with a historic football club that shares the same principles of responsibility and excellence,” said Andreas Samatas, director of TeleTrade Europe.

“Burnley Football Club is known for being one of the smaller football clubs ever to be playing in the most competitive league in the world, the Premier League, has demonstrated that persistence and hard work can get you to the top of your league.

“Their example is inspiring both for us and our traders, as we strive day in, day out to provide the best possible services for our traders to succeed in the fierce and exciting world of the financial markets.”

“This is a very first for Burnley Football Club, having struck a deal with a foreign exchange company and we are proud to have finalised yet another international partner,” added Anthony Fairclough, director of commercial affairs at Burnley.

“It demonstrates the global platform we now find ourselves on and TeleTrade can take full advantage of our world presence and the billion households the Premier League transmits to. This is a deal that will take us to December 2018 and hopefully many years beyond.”

Burnley FC were promoted to the Premier League after winning the second-tier Championship in 2015/16, marking a return to the top flight after 33 years. The Clarets are currently sixth in the league in 2017/18 after suffering only five losses in their first 18 games. They drew 0-0 away to Brighton and Hove Albion on 16th December and take on Tottenham Hotspur, who are one point behind in seventh place, at home on Saturday.
