Arsenal in credit with MBNA partnership
English soccer outfit Arsenal have renewed and expanded their partnership with American credit card company MBNA.

The financial services provider will remain the Premier League club’s official credit card partner in the UK, a position it has held since 2004.

Under the terms of the new agreement, MBNA will continue to have rights to offer club merchandise to its patrons, whilst it will also have entitlements to hospitality packages. It will provide existing and new customers with the opportunity to win Arsenal tickets and exclusive experiences with the Gunners.

It will, in addition, have an increased presence on the London club’s various digital and media channels, and its logo will be seen on the digital pitchside screens at Arsenal’s home, the Emirates Stadium.

"Our partnership with Arsenal is about creating value - for supporters, for the club and for MBNA alike,” said James Poole, strategy and Innovation executive at MBNA. “MBNA is able to access the club's extensive supporter base and a valuable programme of bespoke benefits. We're excited that the relationship will enable MBNA to make good stuff happen for real Arsenal fans."

Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal's chief commercial officer, added: "We are proud of our longstanding relationship with MBNA and are delighted to be extending and expanding our successful partnership.”

Arsenal are sixth in English soccer’s top flight and are on course to finish outside the top four for the first time under their experienced manager Arsène Wenger. The 67-year-old Frenchman, who once said finishing in the top four of the Premier League and securing Uefa Champions League qualification was “like winning a trophy”, has endured calls by fans for his resignation along with a rumoured breakdown in his relationship with his star forward, Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal play Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, then face reigning Premier League champions Leicester City on 26th April in a must-win match at the Emirates before travelling to high-flying Tottenham Hotspur for the north London derby on 30th April.
