Real Madrid appoint Daktronics
The company will install two inwardly curved main displays, measuring 31 metres wide, on the stadium roof at both ends of the pitch. Both displays will feature 13HD pixel layouts, the highest option available, as well as ambient lighting and surround sound.
The displays will feature live video, instant replays and game information during Real Madrid matchdays, and can also be used for sponsor branding opportunities.
“Some members of the Real Madrid technical management team visited the United States to view some of our installations in stadiums and arenas,” said Daktronics regional manager Ivan del Rio.
“Being such an important sport entity, they really only considered the best solutions.”
The agreement comes as Real Madrid sit top of La Liga, having won four of their first five games of the season. The team travel to Las Palmas next, before heading off to Germany for their Uefa Champions League group game against Borussia Dortmund.
