Le Sports sign exclusive broadcast rights of English FA Cup
The firm will broadcast the last seven matches of this season’s edition of the domestic knock-out soccer competition, and the entirety of the 2016/17 and 2017/18 tournaments.
The news comes just weeks after Le Sports announced an official media partnership with the Chinese Super League (CSL), as well as exclusive internet broadcasting rights for all of this season’s fixtures in a deal worth a reported RMB 2.7 billion (US$414 million).
The Chinese FA Cup and Super Cup broadcast rights are currently exclusively held by Ti’ao Power for the next three years.
This season’s English FA Cup will see Everton, Watford, Crystal Palace and either West Ham or Manchester United face off in the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium in late April.
