IMG and Premier League to extend partnership
The Premier League has announced the extension of its partnership with global sports media agency IMG.

The deal will see the two continue to jointly operate Premier League Productions (PLP) for the next three English soccer seasons, from the forthcoming 2016/17 edition of the Premier League until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

PLP is responsible for the production and distribution of all international programming for English soccer's top flight, including 380 Premier League matches per season, seven weekly magazine shows and the Premier League Content Service, which is carried in some territories by the league's broadcast partners as a standalone channel.

The new agreement will see the Premier League Content Service expanded to show a number of new programmes, including one dedicated to the Premier League's own fantasy gaming service.

“Over the past 12 years we have worked very well with IMG Media to evolve and develop our international production offering," said Paul Molnar, director of broadcasting at the Premier League. "That service, under the umbrella of Premier League Productions, has been an asset to all of our broadcast partners and we are pleased to be extending this relationship for another three years.”
