Drinks brand Pfanner renews Austrian Cup sponsorship

18 January 2016 | Commercial & Sponsorship
Beverage company Pfanner has extended its sponsorship of the ÖFB Samsung Cup, Austria’s premier knockout competition.

The new deal, negotiated on behalf of the Australian Football Association (ÖFB) by the Sporteo agency, sees Pfanner remain a partner of the competition for the second consecutive season.

The agreement includes the usual branding elements, including advertising during matches, as well as a ticket allocation. Financial terms have not been released.

"The ÖFB Samsung Cup has evolved in recent years to an interesting advertising platform for sports sponsors,” said Sporteo chief executive Hanno Egger.

“The attractiveness of the cup is evidenced by the fact that almost all sponsors have renewed their partner packages for this season.”

Pfanner, which is based in the Austrian town of Lauterach, also sponsors Cashpoint SCR Altach, who play in Austria’s top tier Tipico Bundesliga.
