Arsenal sign solar power deal
Octopus, a solar asset holder and utilities company based in London, will help the club reach their sustainability targets, including helping to power the Emirates Stadium using its solar resources.
As part of the deal, Arsenal fans will be offered the same clean energy tariff for their homes, with those taking up the offer to receive various benefits from the club, including VIP tours and signed merchandise.
“We will be working closely with them to develop renewable power supplies, as well as providing special offers for Arsenal fans in the UK,” said Vinai Venkatesham, chief commercial officer at Arsenal. “We look forward to supporting Octopus Energy in the growth of their business.”
Arsenal are currently in second place in the Premier League, behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.
