Arsenal gamble on Betfair renewal
The north London side have renewed the deal for a further three years, seeing the partnership extend until 2019. Betfair will remain as the official betting partner of the club in the UK, Europe, South and Central America.
The extended agreement will see Betfair increase branding at all domestic fixtures at the club’s Emirates Stadium, and the company will benefit from more hospitality during match days.
Betfair will also have access to first team players to use for promotional and marketing activities.
“We’re thrilled to be extending our contract with Arsenal,” said Betfair marketing and brand director Paul Gambrill.
“Arsenal are a fantastic club and we look forward to engaging with their incredible fan base again next season and beyond.”
Arsenal finished the 2015/16 Premier League season in second position, missing out on top spot to surprise package Leicester. The club will be hoping to go one better next year, and have already bolstered their squad with the UK£33.8 million (US$ 48.8 million) signing of Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka.
