West Ham launch app in partnership with Storm.it

21 October 2015 | Clubs & Rightsholders
English Premier League outfit West Ham United have announced a partnership with online search engine Storm.it.

Storm, which is billed as an 'ethical search engine', has built a new mobile app and web browser for the club which helps fans raise money for West Ham's charitable foundation. Every time a fan buys something online through the Storm platforms, the foundation receives a percentage of the sale from the retailer.

The West Ham Foundation is involved in promoting health, wellbeing and education through sporting participation.

Joseph Lyons, chief executive of the West Ham United Foundation, said: “The new foundation browser lets our fans show their loyalty to both the club and the worthwhile causes the foundation supports.
“Our fans are passionate about anything and everything West Ham and we expect to see great take up of the new service to help continue our community work: it’s a great example of using the power of football to transform lives.”

West Ham have enjoyed a strong start to the 2015/16 Premier League season under new manager Slaven Bilic and currently sit in fourth place.
