Ajax Youth Academy

Ronald de Boer was groomed in the Ajax’ Total Football tradition, he starred in the club’s 1995 Champions League triumph and their runners-up placing the following season. He was voted as the best Dutch soccer player in 1994 and 1996.

After capturing his 5th Eredivisie title at Ajax, together with his twin brother Frank, joined FC Barcelona. Frank remained there until 2003 while Ronald left after 18 months, joining Rangers FC, where he won 5 domestic honours in 4 years.

First capped by the Dutch national team in March 1993, he appeared for his country in the next four major tournaments, his first World Cup appearance was in 1994 in the USA. In total he capped 67 national team matches, with 13 international goals.

Ronald is currently a specialized coach at Ajax Youth Academy, as well as one of the most prominent soccer analysts in The Netherlands.
