Sporting success is achieved through a combination of different factors, all aligning perfectly to deliver the optimum performance environment both for the team as a collective and the individual players within it. From the levels of fitness and hydration in each player to the coaching they have received and their ability to take responsibility on the field, each factor plays its part and must be analysed and understood by a team’s coaching staff. Technology and sports science have made this analysis easier but the skill lies in knowing which factors to focus on and what combination is required to deliver consistent success on the pitch. At Soccerex Europe, performance analysts, coaching experts and sports scientists will dissect the anatomy of a winning team and look at how each part should be conditioned and combined.

Anderson Luis de Souza, better known as DECO, is internationally renowned for his career as a professional football player. Deco had a very successful journey, seventeen years of dedication to the sport in the field, winning titles for all the clubs he performed. One of the most remarkable one was Porto, where he helped the Portuguese club winning eleven trophies. For Barcelona, there were five more. In England, at Chelsea FC,he supported the club in four other winning campaigns. Finally, at Fluminense, Deco raised three more trophies. In addition to all trophies lifted, there were many individual awards for recognition of his performances. With the end of his career as an athlete, Deco founded D20 Sports, where he is the CEO and with the experience gained during these seventeen years in the world of football, he engaged his professional career to start his own business on agency and management of players and football coaches. As such, D20 Sports is an agency specialized in the management of athletes and coaches, which has a qualified and multifaceted team to give support to our generating subsidies for the development and execution of customized strategic plans.
Pedro is a seasoned communications professional with 20 years experience in the sports industry as a journalist, broadcaster and communications director. He spent 15 years as a sports presenter and correspondent for CNN before moving to become Managing Director of Communications at UEFA, where he ran all communications activities at European Football's governing body. Pedro is currently a non executive director with Eleven Sports in Portugal where he manages relationships with key media, rightsholders and influencers whilst also aiding in the production and on-air presentation of content.
