The main purpose of this session is to highlight the importance that the education and training of different stakeholders have in promoting and developing sport in general and football in particular. The international education and training programs that the Portuguese Football Federation, through the Portugal Football School, the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon and the NOVA Business and Economics School will be highlighted for leaders, coaches, players and other stakeholders.

Pedro Brinca

Assistant Professor

Pedro Brinca is an Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics and is the academic coordinator of the Nova SBE / FPF Summer School “Football is Much More than 90 Minutes” and Easter School “There are no Great Teams without Great Talents”. He also taught at the “Football Executives Program” by FPF, a course on the Management and Economics of Football.

António Veloso
University of Lisbon
Professor

António Veloso isfull professor at Faculty of Human Kinetics (FMH) from University of Lisbon. Since 2011 is the Director of the PhD Program in Kinesiology of the Faculty of Human Kinetics and responsible for the Specialty in Biomechanics. He is also the coordinator of the Biomechanics and Functional Morphology Laboratory of the FMH. The main area of scientific activity developed is the Biomechanics of Human Movement, focusing on the study of Load Applied Biomechanics Musculoskeletal System. He published more than 200 papers in peer review academic journal and congress proceedings being more than 60 papers in Journal with impact factor.

André Seabra
Portugal Football School
Director

André Seabra is the Director of the Portugal Football School – Portugal Football Association andProfessor at Faculty of Sport from University of Porto.The main areas of scientific research are thetalent identification and development in football and epidemiology of physical activity,He has authored over 100 scientific papers published in national and international peer reviewed journals and invited speaker in more than 150 lectures in Portugal and in different countries. His qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sports Science and two masters, the first inHigh Performance Training and the second in Public Health.
