China have long demonstrated their capabilities as a host of major sport events, from the two FIFA Women’s World Cups (1991 and 2007) to the astonishing display of power and performance throughout the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The country will soon host the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and, with Chinese officials having publicly stated their desire to host a FIFA World Cup, it would appear only a matter of time before the world’s most populated country hosts the biggest global football competition - something that, according to media, could happen as early as in 2030. Soccerex China will provide the global football community the opportunity to learn about China’s past, present and future major sports events. A panel of experienced event organizers and local market experts makers will draw on their experience of hosting events in China to highlight the learnings and opportunities for these future events and how they can best deliver events that leave a meaningful legacy for sport in China
