Brian Barwick and Peter Gandolfi sign up to Soccerex's global ambitions

Brian Barwick, the former Chief Executive of The Football Association and Head of Sport at both BBC and ITV, is joining the Soccerex team as a Global Ambassador. Meanwhile Peter Gandolfi, the former Head of Brand Strategy for Nationwide, has taken up the position of Group Managing Director at Soccerex.
Speaking exclusively to Soccerex.com Brian Barwick said: "I am thrilled to take up an ambassadorial role with Soccerex. They have a 14-year pedigree in the worldwide football business community and I look forward to making a positive contribution."
The appointment of these two leading figures comes after the recent announcements that the Soccerex convention is moving to Rio de Janeiro, the heart of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and that the annual London Forum will evolve into a two-day European Forum based in Manchester.
Concurrently, Peter Gandolfi has confirmed he will take the Group Managing Director post at Soccerex. "From my initial dealings with Soccerex as a delegate, then as a non-executive director, I am excited to take on a more hands-on role as the company continues in its global expansion", he revealed.
Peter Gandolfi, who has initially fulfilled a consultancy role at Soccerex in a non-executive position, will utilise his unrivalled industry expertise to take Soccerex’s global marketing strategy to the next level. Brian Barwick’s knowledge and worldwide contacts will prove invaluable to Soccerex as they continue to take their agenda to key football markets such as Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.
