Soccerex are honoured to announce that the "Kaiser" of German football will take part in this year's conference programme. Beckenbauer has excelled at every level of the game, winning the FIFA World Cup as a player, a manager and spearheading Germany's successful hosting of the tournament in 2006.

During his illustrious playing career he achieved over 100 international caps and played 396 games for Bayern Munich. After hanging up his boots he coached Germany to the runners-up position in the 1986 FIFA World Cup and then to victory in the 1990 tournament. While in two short spells as Bayern coach, he collected the 1994 Bundesliga title and the 1996 UEFA Cup.

Since 1994, Beckenbauer has been President of Bayern Munich and is currently the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He also holds a senior position at the DFB and received universal acclaim for his role as President of the Local Organising Committee for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
