Soccerex announce Peter Gandolfi as their big name signing for 2009
4:16pm Tuesday, 6th Jan 2009As the football industry turns its attention to the January transfer window, Soccerex have been one of the first to move and are delighted to announce that Peter Gandolfi, the former Head of Brand Strategy for Nationwide, has joined the company as a non-executive Director. Peter's wealth of corporate experience will further strengthen Soccerex's position as the leading business-to-business brand in the global football industry.
In his time with Nationwide he spearheaded a marketing campaign that has produced a 10 year brand-association with football including its sponsorship of all four of the United Kingdom's home nations. He is a well-known and respected figurehead in the sports marketing industry, with considerable and hugely successful experience in building the Nationwide brand - both through sponsorship activities and through their wider marketing communications.
Peter speaks regularly at a number of conventions and forums, around the world, sharing his invaluable knowledge on sponsorship, sports marketing and marketing communications. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has an MBA from Henley Management College.
Since leaving his position at Nationwide, he has recently formed his own brand and sponsorship consultancy and this appointment represents an integral part of his new career direction.
