Valcke has played an integral role in the run-up to 2010, as the key link between FIFA and the 2010 Local Organising Committee he has remained confident that the Rainbow nation will deliver. On a recent visit to South Africa, the FIFA Secretary General commented on South Africa's preparations, "South Africa has made great progress in recent months, the stadium constructions are taking great shape not only at the impressive Soccer City stadium. And firm plans are being put in place by the South African government and the Local Organising Committee which now have to be implemented. I am convinced Africa's first FIFA World Cup in 2010 will be a unique experience not to be missed."

With the FIFA Secretary General joining this panel he provides Soccerex delegates with an opportunity to hear the thoughts of the 2nd most senior figure in football's world governing body. Frenchman Jérôme Valcke was named as the new FIFA Secretary General last year after occupying the Director of Marketing &TV role for FIFA since 2003. Dr. Danny Jordaan a keen supporter of Soccerex's move to South Africa, will utilise this conference platform to address the global football industry on his country's infrastructure developments ranging from transport to hotel room provision. Speaking exclusively to Soccerex, Jordaan said, "I've been coming to Soccerex for more than 10 years now... Soccerex is an important part of the business of international football and strengthens the commercial character of the game."

Both speakers are responsible for delivering the first ever FIFA World Cup to African soil.
