Soccerex Success Stories: Nestlé, EXP Sponsorship &FC Barcelona case study

At Soccerex 2007 we launched our Speed Networking sessions, designed to introduce football clubs to future partners &suppliers. This personalised service introduced 15 rights holders to 30 hand-picked companies including brands, agencies and academies. It was a huge success and the service will be expanded across other sectors at Soccerex 2008.
During one of the Speed Networking sessions at last year's event, EXP Sponsorship and FC Barcelona were introduced for the first time and formed an excellent working relationship. EXP Sponsorship were representing several key clients including Nestlé (South Africa). As a result of their meeting FC Barcelona and Nestlé signed a significant business partnership. The deal secured the winning team of the premier South African youth football event (Nestlé Milo Champions Tournament) the chance to travel to Barcelona, attend a match at the Nou Camp and compete against a local team.

The Nestlé Milo Champions Tournament will not only form a platform whereby school kids can participate in a national tournament, but will also provide assistance, mentoring, coaching and skills development to those within developing, urban and township areas.
