West Brom recruits Adidas on five-year deal

West Bromwich Albion has secured the most lucrative kit supplier deal in the history of the club after penning a five-year deal with Adidas.
The German sportswear giant has replaced Umbro, with the new deal worth at least £1 million per season, with potential bonus payments increasing the value of the agreement to £1.5 million per year. The Barclays Premier League club is still looking for a new shirt sponsor for next season after its one-year agreement with Homeserve expired.
“We see it as a real coup to be working with such a leading worldwide brand, which reflects the strides we, as a club, have made both on and off the field in recent years,” said Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins. “We are looking forward to unveiling our new home and away kits and training gear in the coming weeks.”
Albion is likely to give its new Adidas kit a US debut on July 20 with a pre-season fixture against Major League Soccer’s Portland Timbers in Oregon.
