Soccerex London Forum 2009 - The Review!

21 May 2009

This year’s London Forum has brought together over 800 senior professionals for an intensive day of networking and incisive football business debate. As a company we strive to constantly improve our event product. To help us achieve this, in conjunction with our research partners SKOPOS market insight, we sent out an extensive feedback survey to all our delegates via email.

Soccerex London Forum 2009 – Delegate Feedback Survey Results

The survey closes next week but initial results show that:

86% were extremely happy the pre-event account management service offered and felt this ensured they had a successful event.

80% believed the overall organisation of the London Forum was excellent and 81% cited access to Soccerex staff during the day’s proceedings as a key reason for them achieving objectives.

Delegates came to the Forum to utilise the networking opportunities, listen to high-profile speakers and take part in the newly launched speed networking service. Repsondents rated the three most important reasons for attending this football business forum as:

1. Networking opportunities / meet senior decision makers

2. Pre-arranged speed networking sessions bringing together suppliers and football club executives

3. Conference programme that tackles the most pertinent issues in football

Once again attendees found that the event was a key place to meet with football industry colleagues. 76% found the London Forum a valuable networking platform.

This year’s event brought together a select group of senior executives from clubs, brands and suppliers – 70% were extremely pleased with the quality of attendees.

The London Forum brought together 24 football industry experts to take part in conference panels and presentations that tackled the most relevant issues currently effecting football and 71% found the speakers at the London Forum to be of a high standard.

For the past three year’s Soccerex have led the way in developing an online networking facility to be used by event delegates – this year, 82% rated the online Soccerex Networking Tool as the best they have ever used.

Finally at last week’s event we announced that this would be the last edition of the London Forum and as of next year this forum would evolve into a two day Soccerex European Forum based in Manchester. When asked if delegates would be attending the new and improved Soccerex European Forum, 74% stated their intent to attend.
