Márcia Lins confirmed for Global Convention

Márcia Lins, State Secretary, Rio de Janeiro Government, has confirmed she will be speaking on a panel titled, ‘Rio de Janeiro – Sporting Capital of the World; Preparing for 2014 & 2016’ at the Soccerex Global Convention, Rio de Janeiro 20-24 November 2011.
Rio will be the focus of the sporting world from 2012 onwards as the city hosts the finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. Márcia will be a key source of information regarding the City’s preparation for both events and the panel will discuss Rio’s readiness, the development required in the city, the commercial projects already in place and further plans to establish Rio as the sporting capital of the world.
Márcia, who is also President of Suderj, the organisation that manages the Maracanã Stadium which is highly anticipated to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final, commented that “Soccerex helped South Africa in their World Cup preparation and now Soccerex will be helping us. Our country has a lot to gain and learn from this event, it will bring discussions regarding football business from all around the world and with a Brazilian focus.”
The Soccerex Global Convention (20-24 November 2010) will consist of an in-depth conference schedule, packed exhibition, a large range of networking and two-day Football Festival all taking place in the Forte de Copacabana, Copacabana beach and Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio de Janeiro
