Schalke 04 cleans up with new partner

Schalke 04 has added another high-profile partner to its commercial portfolio after agreeing a deal with the Bauknecht/Whirlpool group.

The leading home appliance manufacturer has signed a partnership with the 1.Bundesliga club that will afford it extensive advertising presence at its Veltins Arena home, while it also plans to produce club-themed editions of its products. Schalke finished third in the 1.Bundesliga last season and was matched up against Arsenal, Montpellier and Olympiacos in Thursday’s UEFA Champions League draw.

“We are very happy to have won in Bauknecht another hugely prestigious brand as a partner for our club,” said Schalke 04’s marketing director Alexander Jobst. “Many common values unify us, not only the colours blue and white. This will result in many synergies to the benefit of both our partners and fans.”
