Norton secures Dortmund’s Bundesliga defence

Borussia Dortmund has bolstered its commercial portfolio ahead of the new 1.Bundesliga season by agreeing a partnership with Norton.
The online security giant has agreed to become the reigning 1.Bundesliga champion’s 15th official partner in an agreement brokered by the Sportfive agency. Along with offering its services to the club, Dortmund fans who utilise Norton products will be provided with a special Fan App along with the opportunity to win VIP tickets to games at Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund begins the defence of its title as it kicks off the 2012-13 1.Bundesliga season tonight with a home game against Werder Bremen.
“Norton protects with the latest technology, comprehensive services and insider information,” said Karsten Jahn, director of consumer marketing for Central Europe at Norton’s parent company Symantec. “The partnership with Borussia Dortmund gives us the opportunity to appeal to people beyond traditional computer issues and to raise awareness for safe use of digital media.”
