Borussia Dortmund has recorded a commercial win on the back of retaining its 1.Bundesliga title at the weekend by extending its sponsorship deal with Burg-Wächter.
The safe and lock specialist has agreed a new two-year deal to continue as a partner of Dortmund, in an agreement brokered by the Sportfive agency. The partnership provides Burg-Wächter with a variety of advertising and public relations opportunities around the Dortmund brand. “We are looking forward to the cooperation, especially as our headquarters are located very near Dortmund, and we stand behind the philosophy of BVB,” said Burg-Wächter managing director Reinhard Lüling.
Carsten Cramer, director of marketing and sales at Borussia Dortmund, added: “Burg-Wächter benefits from the nationwide popularity of the German champion. Cooperation with the BVB not only increases awareness of the company, but it also works on the development of new target groups.”
Dortmund on Saturday became the first team since Bayern Munchen in 2006 to retain the 1.Bundesliga title after a 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach at Signal Iduna Park.
