Dortmund bets on Oddset

Borussia Dortmund has continued its commercial drive following the recent successful defence of its 1.Bundesliga crown by signing a long-term sponsorship deal with German sports betting provider Oddset Deutschland Sportwetten.
The agreement, which is set to begin next season, will see Oddset advertise inside Dortmund’s 80,000-seat Signal Iduna Park utilising pitch-side hoardings while the pair are also set to cooperate in the field of new media. “We are very proud to announce the new partnership between ourselves and Oddset,” said Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s general manager. “Fair, reliable and close to the people are well established attributes that are characterised by both partners for years.”
Oddset stated that cooperation in the area of new media would see the pair create ‘significant added value’ for its clients and fans of Dortmund ahead of the ‘upcoming re-regulation of the German sports betting market’. “As a leading German sports betting provider, there can be no better partner than the reigning champion and current leaders of the Bundesliga,” said Erwin Horak, chairman for Oddset. “Both Borussia Dortmund and Oddset stand for high quality, tradition and solidarity with fans and customers and both claim to be the market leader in Germany.”
Dortmund became the first team since Bayern Munchen in 2006 to retain the 1.Bundesliga title after a 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach at Signal Iduna Park on April 21.
