African Forum 2014
The third edition of the Soccerex African Forum, 4-5 November 2014, consolidated the event as the largest and leading football business conference in the continent and the premier meeting place for the industry to come together to learn, network and do business.
Held in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government and eThekwini Municipality, at the magnificent Moses Mabhida Stadium, it gathered the game’s leading administrators, national sports ministers, key business figures and football legends, all with the same objective of growing the business side of football on the continent.
In 2014, the Forum built on the success of the two previous editions and attracted once again the industry’s key stakeholders to Durban. Institutionally supported by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and South African Football Association, it provided a platform for the key issues to be addressed including club licensing, league development, major event delivery, commercial best practice as well as a large emphasis on the relationship between sport and governance, seeing key government representatives and national FA ministers in attendance.
